To finish was wonderful, but to get the blue ribbon at the County Fair...

definitely a "heart-skippy" moment...

The Pattern:  Lucy of Attic 24 Granny Stripe
63 bands of color, 126 rows
33 different colors, most used twice
100% acrylic, most of worsted weight
Hook size:  I
Size: Big, easily fits a Queen sized bed

Each row took 15 minutes to crochet, estimated total time:  31.5 hours, roughly 3 1/2 months, finished approximately 3 hours before entries were due...

You know when everything else is going kind of blah and then something comes along and just perks you up?  That's what the latest hooking is all about.  I

 know I have so many UFOs (un-finished objects) as of late, but Mille has created the sweetest pattern that is definitely something pretty!!!

Here's my first attempt at her fantastic design... 

Isn't it so sweet?

It's not finished (so it's part of the UFO's, but not for long!) 

and I opted for another pillow insert,

but just had to share my happiness with something that really just fit the bill,

satisfying the creative spirit.  Thanks Mille.
